Day 01: Arr. Delhi - Varanasi

On arrival transfer to Varanasi by flight, after taking some rest, visit Sarnath which is about 10 kms from the holy city of Varanasi. It is the place where more than 2500 years ago Buddha delivered his first sermon. Later, drive back to Varanasi and stay overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 02:Varanasi -Bodhgaya

This morning, you take a transfer to Bodhgaya which is 247 kms from Varanasi. On reaching Bodhgaya, checkin to the hotel. Take some rest during the day and you can leave for attending evening prayer at Mahabodhi temple. Later, return to the hotel and have a comfortable stay at night.

 

Day 03:Bodhgaya

Bodhgaya is counted one among the four most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites. After having your breakfast, leave for a sightseeing trip around this beautiful place. Explore the beauty of Buddhist culture and lifestyle with a stroll around this place. Visit places like the Great Buddha Statue, Niranjana River and Sujata Temple. After your sightseeing tour, return to the hotel and stay overnight.

 

Day 04: Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Patna

After early breakfast drive to Rajgir the vulture Hill, hot spring in Rajgir, world peace Stupa, Bamboo's Garden. Continue to Nalanda to visit the ruins of world oldest University. Drive to Patna .Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 05: Patna - Vaishali - Kushinagar

After early breakfast drive to Vaishali. Check in at hotel. Visit MahaParinirwana Temple (where Buddha took his last breathe) and RambharStupa (cremation site of lord Buddha), Japan Temple. Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 06: Kushinagar - Lumbini

After breakfast drive 5 hrs to Lumbini with packed lunch. (Nepal). While going to Lumbini, stop at India/Nepal border for Visa/Immigration formalities. Later checkin at Hotel. 15 Min. drive from the Nepal Border. Noon visit Lumbini, the Birth place of Lord Buddha. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 07: Lumbini - Kapilvastu- Sravasti

After breakfast morning leave for Sravasti, enroute visit Kapilavastu (optional), where Buddha 's childhood was spent & also visit ruins of the Palaces. Later continue drive to Sravasti. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 08: Sravasti- Lucknow-Agra

After breakfast visit Sravasti, where Buddha spent his 24 monsoons, visit Jetvana and Ananda Bodhi Tree lunch and drive to Agra. o/n Hotel.

 

Day 09: Agra-Delhi-Departure

After breakfast at hotel later excursion to Rajgir (80 kms), Rajgir is a site of great Sanctity and significance for Buddhists. Afternoon visit Gridhkutta Hill, Bimbisar jail &Ajatashatru's Fort. After lunch drive to Nalanda, (12 kms). It was one of the oldest Universities of the World & International Centre for Buddist Studies. Nalanda was one of the greatest monastic universities of the ancient world University established in 5th century BC. It is believed that Lord Buddha and also the founder of Jainism religion Lord Mahavir taught at this university for years. There is even a monument to facilitate Chinese traveler monk and writer Hiuen Tsang who studied at this university in the 7th century A.D. After visit drive go to Patna.Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 3: Patna - Vaishali - Kushinagar |250 KMS |07Hrs|

After breakfast drive to Kushinagarenroute visiting Vaishali where Lord Buddha preached his last sermon announcing his approaching Nirvana. Visit stupas holding urns containing ashes of Buddha and Ashok pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka to mark places sanctified by Buddha. The place is also known now for famous Madhubani paintings. Continue drive to Kushinagar. Arrive &Checkin at hotel. Kushinagar is the place where Buddha entered perfect tranquility the state of MahaPari Nirvana. Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 4 :Kushinagar - Lumbini |200 KMS |05 Hrs |

After breakfast drive to Lumbini (05hrs). Lumbini: The birth place of Lord Buddha in the Himalayan foothills of Nepal. Arrive & check-in at hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6 :Sravasti - Varanasi |385 KMS |09 Hrs|

After Breakfast leave sravastii for Varanasi by surface (400kms / 10 hrs). Varanasi is famous for Hindus and Buddhists as its close proximity to Sarnath. Arrival check in to the hotel and then proceed to Gangeaarti takes place at 6.45 PM in the evening after the sunset for around 45 minutes at the Dashashwamedhghat in the Varanasi. Devotees have started to come to see the Gangeaarti at least one hour before. Varanasi. After then come back Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 07 : Varanasi Departure

early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. Day 1:Kathmandu Arrival

Arrive Kathmandu, sightseeing of Kathmandu City - Durbar Square complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu.VisitBoudhnath a world heritage, is also known as Khasti. Day 04: Sravasti - Kushinagar
